Harris Pomerantz took Channah for a ride in his carriage to show her Philadelphia, At 10th and Spruce Streets they ride past Portico Row. an historic landmark on the National Register of Historic Places featuring Greek revival architecture with Ionic order columns for each of its eight entrances. Designed by Philadelphia architect Thomas Ustick Walter, the houses were built in 1831-1832.
